Ms. Oh’s artistic journey is defined by distinguished orchestral leadership and solo prominence. A graduate of Seoul National University and the Manhattan School of Music, she quickly rose to prominence as a top prize winner at the Busan Music Competition and the MSM Concerto Competition in New York. Her orchestral mastery was honed during her 15-year tenure as the Associate Principal Flute of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the ensemble's woodwind sound.

As a soloist, Shinjung Oh is renowned for her "commanding stage presence" and ability to connect with audiences across cultures. She has appeared with prestigious orchestras including the Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Prokofiev Symphony, and Korean Symphony.

Her versatility is best exemplified by her acclaimed collaboration with the legendary jazz master Claude Bolling, with whom she toured extensively between 2005 and 2009, showcasing a unique fusion of classical precision and jazz spontaneity. Her global footprint continues to expand with invitations to major international stages, including the National Flute Association (NFA) Convention (USA, 2024), the Japan Flute Convention, and the Australian Flute Festival.

In recognition of her contribution to the instrument, Ms. Oh was named a Powell Artist in 2004 by the historic Verne Powell Flutes, joining an elite roster of world-class flutists.

Her discography, including the Mozart Flute Concertos on the Titanic Label (USA), has been praised for its "clarity, richness, and lyrical depth."

Currently a Professor of Music at Inje University, Ms. Oh is a dedicated mentor committed to passing on the tradition of flute excellence, and she continues to influence the next generation of musicians through her teaching and leadership as a director of the Korea Flute Association.
