Brigitte Lindner at Euro Music Festival

Originally from Munich, Brigitte Lindner was already working as a soloist for EMI-Electrola while studying at the Munich University of Music. Her recordings included "Hänsel und Gretel" under Heinz Wallberg and "Die Zauberflöte" under Bernard Haitink.

Her vocal development was accompanied by Hanna Scholl-Völker, Helen Donath and Nocolai Gedda. 

 

Her first permanent engagement led her to the Staatstheater Braunschweig where she sang roles such as "Gretel"(Hänsel und Gretel), "Maria"(Westside Story), "Valencienne"(The Merry Widow). 

Under the direction of Giuseppe Sinopolie, she sang the part of the "Young Shepherd Boy" in Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser at the Bayreuth Festival for many years. She also participated in the Ludwigsburger Festival under Wolfgang Gönnenwein.

 

During the following years of her career, Brigitte Lindner appeared on many stages at home and abroad as well as producing numerous CDs.

As the partner of, among others, Rene Kollo and Francisco Araiza, she took part in Gala Evenings in the Alte Oper in Frankfurt and the Kölner Philharmonie as well as the Bad Ems Festival.

 

Her voice appears on many radio recordings by WDR, BR, NDR and Deutscheland Radio/DLF with just as many TV appearances on German channels ARD and ZDF.

Apart from a large number of opera and operetta CDs recorded by EMI-Electrola, other labels including Dabringhaus and Grimm and CPO have marketed her voice on CD.

In addition to her artistic activities, Brigitte Linder has always been dedicated to the training and development of professional and semi-professional young talent. 

From 2002 to 2009, she worked as a lecturer for the University of Music and Dance Cologne based in Aachen. In 2009, she was appointed Professor of Classical Singing and Pedagogy at the University of Music and Dance Cologne, since 2012 based in Cologne.
