Czech pianist Milan Franěk studied at the Conservatory in Pilsen and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic, at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and in Graz, Austria and at the Charles University in Prague.

 

He made several recordings of classical music for the Czech Radio and performed concerts in the Czech Republic, Austria, Great Britain, the Netherlands, France, Norway, Lithuania, Serbia, Malaysia, China and Japan.

 

Since the year 2012 Milan Franěk has conducted piano masterclasses at renowned music universities and music institutions in many countries (Austria, Luxembourg, Italy, Israel, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Japan).

 

He also recorded the complete Jazz Etudes by the Czech composer and jazz pianist Milan Dvořák in April 2015 for the English label Toccata Classics in London.

 

Milan tought at various music institutions and music universities both
in the Czech Republic and abroad (Malaysia, Austria, China) and holds his current teaching position at the Zhaoqing University in China.

 

Since 2010 is Milan Franěk the President of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA) for the Czech Republic (www.epta-cz.com) and the Artistic
Director of the Ant. Petrof International Piano Competition 2024 (www.competition.antpetrof.com).
